Watercolors are easy to travel with. I enjoy painting scenes while in nature using water from a nearby water source such as the ocean or river. These are typically 90 minute studies. Patty will often paint while her children play or fish in the water. Patty's favorite themes are real people engaged in laborious work and landscapes. Each level of labor has its own dfficulties, the most basic such as harvesting food are the easiest to relate to on an instinctive emotional level."
